See and use your rentals

If you rent a unit in a community, open the community and go to Your rentals, under Second Life in the side navigation. It shows only when you rent there, or when a tenant added you to their unit.

Each unit has its own panel:

• Time left: how long you have left and when it runs out in SLT, with a bar of what's left of the time you last paid for. It turns orange when there are 3 days or less. If the community has Civitas remind its tenants, marks on the bar show when the reminders come.
• Where it is (press it for SL's map and Teleport), its price a week, its prims against its limit, and since when you've rented it, with what you've paid for it in all once the landlord lets Civitas read their CasperLet payments.
• A small map of its parcel, once the community's Region Monitor has read the region's parcels.

A unit that's over its prim limit, or running out soon, is marked. What you see is what the unit last told Civitas, usually within a minute.

Pay for more time

You pay at the unit in SL, never on Civitas. Under Pay for more time at the unit in SL, each of the unit's pay buttons shows what it costs and how much time it buys, with the shortest and longest time you can rent it for at once, and what happens when it runs out. These are the unit's settings in CasperLet. Civitas reads them through CasperLet each day, after the landlord adds CMTY Resident as a manager.

Use your unit from here

If you rent the unit yourself, three buttons do what the unit's own buttons do in SL, as if you pressed them:

• Open the menu in SL: opens the unit's menu for you in SL, where you pay for more time. You need to be near the unit.
• Turn reminders on or off: the unit reminds you before your time runs out, unless you turned that off. This turns it the other way.
• Won't renew: tells your landlord you're leaving when your time runs out, and stops the reminders, from the unit and from Civitas. The unit may be taken back as soon as your time runs out. Once Civitas sees it, usually within a few hours, the unit is marked Won't renew and the button says Renew after all, which takes it back.

These go through CasperLet, so you can use them 10 times a day in all. Someone the tenant added sees the unit, but only the tenant can use the buttons.

Reminders from the community

A community can have Civitas remind its tenants before their time runs out, instead of the unit. They go to the tenant, as a notification on Civitas, and in SL too unless you turn that off: under Rent reminders in Choose how Civitas tells you things, where you can also have them sent on Discord.

What you've paid

What you've paid lists your payments and refunds for the units you rent now, newest first, once the landlord lets Civitas read their CasperLet payments.

Past rentals

Past rentals lists the units you rented in the community before, from when to when, and how each ended. Once the landlord lets Civitas read their CasperLet payments, it also says what you paid for each, less refunds.
