Change your SL group's settings
Change your group's enrollment, fee, picture, charter and search listing from the website.
You need permission to edit group settings (groups.edit_settings).
The group's Settings tab holds a copy of what SL has. Change something there, and the bot changes it in the group.
Change a setting
- Go to SL groups, open the group, and go to Settings.
- Make the change. A tick saves as soon as you click it, and a box when you leave it. Saved shows once the bot has made the change in SL.
If the bot couldn't make a change, a message says why and the ticks go back to what SL has.
The settings show once the bot is in the group. If it is and they don't, press Check the bot at the top of the page.
Membership
- Open Enrollment: anyone can join the group from its profile, paying the enrollment fee.
- Enrollment fee (L$): a whole number of L$, from 0 to 99,999.
Civitas's bots never pay to join a group. Keep the fee at L$0 while you invite a new bot, and for Have the bot join.
Group identity
- Upload a picture: tick I own this picture or have permission to use it, then upload a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB. CMTY crops it to a square and uploads it to SL, then the bot makes it the group's image. You tick the box again for each picture.
- Group image (texture UUID): in SL, right-click a texture in your inventory and choose Copy Asset UUID, then paste it here. Leave it empty for SL's default picture.
- Charter: SL keeps it to 511 bytes, about 511 letters, fewer with accents or emoji.
- Show in search: lists the group in SL's search.
- Mature content: marks the group's profile as Moderate rather than General.
When a setting is greyed out
The page says why above the settings it affects. Membership needs Toggle 'Open Enrollment' and change 'Enrollment fee', and group identity needs Change Charter, Insignia, and 'Show in search'. The bot needs the ability, and so do you in the group, unless you own the community or the group. See Give the bot the abilities it needs.
