Create your characters
Create the in-character (IC) people you play in roleplay communities, rename them, and retire them.
Your characters are the people you play in roleplay communities. Out-of-character (OOC) moderation, like warnings and bans, stays with your avatar, not your characters.
Characters are yours, not a community's: the same character can appear in every roleplay community you're in. Characters shows under Your account, at the bottom of your side navigation, once you're in a roleplay community.
Create a character
- Go to Characters.
- In Create a character, type the character's Name.
- If more than one avatar signs in to your account, choose which one plays the character in Played by.
- Press Create.
The character appears under Your characters. An avatar can't have two active characters with the same name, ignoring capitals, and can have up to 25 active characters at once.
Rename a character
- Press the edit button beside the character.
- Type the new name. It saves when you leave the box or press Enter.
Retire a character
When you stop playing a character, retire it.
- Press the retire button beside the character.
- Confirm with Retire.
A retired character keeps its records, but can't be played or renamed again, and this can't be undone. It moves to Retired, and no longer counts toward the 25.
Play a character
- On a team. On a team you're on, choose your character in Playing as, in the You panel. It offers the active characters of the avatar on the roster, and the roster then shows who you play.
- On a form. A roleplay community's form can ask you to choose one of your characters.
