Find people in your community
The Members page lists everyone in your community's SL groups, with the groups they're in, when they joined and the roles they hold.
You need permission to see members (members.view).
Everyone in your community's SL groups is a member, whether or not they use Civitas. Civitas learns who's in a group each time its bot reads the group's roster, so new people show up after the next read. Someone who leaves all your groups stops being a member and loses their roles, unless they're the owner.
Look through your members
- Go to Members, under People in the side navigation.
- Type part of a name in Find a member. The list narrows as you type, matching SL usernames and display names.
- Press someone's name to open their profile.
Each row shows:
- Avatar: their name and SL username. It says signed in when they're on Civitas right now, and no Civitas account yet when they've never signed in. Being a member doesn't need an account.
- SL groups: which of your groups they're in.
- Joined: the day they became a member.
- Roles: the Civitas roles they hold. If you can give roles, the x on a role takes it away and the + after them gives one. See Give someone a role.
Press the Avatar or Joined heading to sort by it. The page shows 100 members at a time; press Load more at the bottom for the next 100.
See former members
Turn on Former members to list people who used to be members. A Status column shows how their membership ended, such as Left. Former members hold no roles. If one of them joins one of your groups again, they're a member again.
Invite someone
If you can invite people to your SL groups, the Invite button at the top of the page sends someone an invitation through the bot. See Invite someone to your group.
