Members and their profiles, roles and permissions, teams and shifts, and moderation.
Find people in your communityThe Members page lists everyone in your community's SL groups, with the groups they're in, when they joined and the roles they hold.
Look up someone's profileA member's profile puts together what your community has on them: their membership, roles, teams, moderation cases and the history of changes to their membership.
Give someone a roleGive a member a role, or take one away, from the Members page or their profile, and Civitas passes the change on to SL and Discord where the role is linked.
Create and change rolesRoles hold the permissions that decide what people can do in your community on Civitas; create them, change their permissions, and delete them on the Roles page.
Link a role to SL and DiscordLink a Civitas role to an SL group role and a Discord role, or import the roles you already have, so giving the role once gives it everywhere.
Set up a team and its ranksTeams are your staff, security, hosts or any other crew, each with ranks from highest to lowest; a rank can give a role, so it reaches SL and Discord too.
Put people on a teamAdd people to a team's roster at a rank, move them between ranks, and see who's on duty and how many hours each person has put in.
Schedule shiftsPut yourself, or anyone on a team's roster, on the team's schedule for one shift or a repeating series, take a place on an open shift, and see every shift on its calendar.
Open and work a moderation caseA moderation case keeps everything about one avatar's trouble in one place: evidence, notes, warnings, bans, mutes and appeals.
Warn someoneGive a warning on a moderation case, tell the person why, and choose when repeated warnings suggest a ban.
Ban someoneBan someone on a moderation case, from Civitas and, if you choose, from your estates, your SL groups' ban lists and your Discord server, for a while or until it's lifted.
Mute someoneMute someone on a moderation case, in your SL group chats, on your Discord server or both, for a set time or until it's lifted.
Appeal a ban, or decide an appealSomeone who was banned can ask the community's moderators to lift the ban on the community's Ban appeal form, and the moderators keep the ban or lift it.
See your own membershipYour membership page shows what a community has for you: the groups you're in, your roles and what they let you do, your teams and hours, and any warnings, bans or mutes.
Use the RP HUDWear the RP HUD in Second Life to go on and off duty, choose the character you play and see what your community's modules have for you.
