Score a form or make a test

A scored form adds up points from the answers. A test also has correct answers and a passing score, like a rules test before joining. Reviewers see each submission's score.

Score the answers

1. Open the form and go to the Scoring tab.
2. Turn on Score the answers.
3. On the Questions tab, give questions their Points:
   • For a choice, set Points for each option.
   • For a rating, slider, opinion scale or number, check Score the answer itself, so an answer of 4 scores 4 points.
   • Weight multiplies a question's points.

Turning scoring off takes every question's points and correct answers off. Submissions already sent keep their scores.

Make it a test

1. On the Scoring tab, check This is a test.
2. Type the Passing score, and choose whether it's in Percent or Points.
3. On the Questions tab, give questions their Correct answer. A choice, several choices, text, number, date, checkbox or switch can have one. For text, list the correct answers one on each line. Capitals and extra spaces don't matter.
4. Set the Points for the correct answer. An incorrect answer scores nothing. Add Feedback (optional), for example to say why the answer is correct.

A new test starts with a passing score of 80 percent.

Choose what people see and what happens

• Show the correct answers after sending shows people each question's correct answer and feedback with their score. Turned off, they still see their score.
• Decide by score: as soon as a submission is sent, accepts it if it reaches the passing score and declines it if not, then runs the form's actions. It still shows in the submissions, with By score as its reviewer.
• Hours before someone who failed can take it again sets a wait, from 1 to 720 hours, when the form takes Once per avatar. Leave it empty and they can't take it again.

A moderator report can't decide by score, since a moderator's accepting it opens a case. The ban appeal form can't be scored.

Show a message for the score

On the Settings tab, Add a message that depends on the answers or score shows a different message after sending, like "Well done, you passed.", when the conditions you choose hold.
