Use /whois and /link in Discord

Once Civitas is on a community's Discord server, anyone on the server can use its two slash commands. Civitas's answer shows only to the person who asked, so nobody else in the channel sees it.

See who someone is in SL

1. In a channel on the server, type /whois and pick the person as member.
2. Civitas answers with their SL display name and username, and a Second Life profile link.

/whois only names an avatar that's a member of the community the server belongs to, never someone's other avatars. If the person hasn't linked their Discord account to an SL avatar, or none of their avatars is in the community, Civitas says so.

Link your Discord account

1. Type /link anywhere on the server.
2. If your Discord account isn't linked yet, press Link on Civitas. Sign in to Civitas with your avatar, then approve the link in Discord.

If a command doesn't answer

If the server isn't connected to a Civitas community yet, /whois says so. A community manager connects it on the community's Discord page: see Add Civitas to your Discord server.
