Mute someone in chat
A chat mute stops what someone writes in SL or Discord from being passed on by chat sync, in every bridge.
You need permission to mute people in chat (chat.moderate).
Muting someone on the Chat page is quick, for when chat sync is passing on something it shouldn't. They're muted in every bridge: nothing they write in SL or Discord is passed on.
Mute someone
- Go to Chat and press Mute someone.
- In Find a member, type their name or username and pick them.
- Choose how long in For: 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 30 days, or until someone unmutes them.
- Add a Reason (optional) and press Mute.
The bot also mutes them in SL group chat, in groups where its role has the "Moderate Group Chat" ability. In a bridge's list of group chats, a group where it can't says so.
You can mute members of your community, but never its owner. Muting someone who's already muted changes their mute.
See who's muted
The Muted panel lists everyone muted, with the reason, who muted them and when, and when the mute ends. Mutes given with a moderation case show here too; see moderation mutes for those, which can also time the person out on your Discord server.
Unmute someone
Press Unmute beside them. A mute with an end time also ends by itself.
