Set up your public page

Your community's public page is at its web address, like cmty.app/harbor-point. Anyone can see it, and search engines can find it. It shows only what you choose on the Public page page. Members, roles and the audit log are never on it.

Changes save as you make them: switches, picks and ticks at once, text boxes when you leave them. Press View the page to see it as visitors do.

Turn it on or off

In Visibility, Show the public page turns the page on. Turned off, it shows only your community's name and "This community keeps its page private".

Show how many members the community has adds the number of people in your SL groups. It never shows who they are.

Show upcoming events lists your next 5 public events. Private events never show. See Put an event on the calendar. Show recent notices lists the last 5 notices sent with Show on the public page ticked. See Send a notice. With Rentals on, Show vacant rentals lists the units anyone can rent now, with their price per week and prims, and puts them on SL's map with Teleport to each rental box. Locked and reserved units never show, and nor does who rents the others. See See your rentals.

Add a logo, cover and colour

• Logo. Press Upload a logo (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 2 MB, cropped to a square), or pick one of your SL groups' images under From Second Life. A group's image is shown from SL, so it changes when the group's image does.
• Cover image. A wide picture across the top of the page, cropped to 3:1, with the same file types and size.
• Color. Used for the strip at the top when there's no cover image, the initials and the link icons. Use Civitas blue goes back to the default.

Say who you are

In About:

1. Write a Description of your community and who it's for. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. You can use **bold**, *italic*, [a link](https://…) and lines starting with - for a list.
2. Choose your Second Life maturity rating: General, Moderate or Adult.
3. Tick up to 5 Topics, so people can find communities like yours.

Show how to join

In Ways to join:

• Tick the SL groups to list. Each shows whether it's free to join, has a fee, or is by invitation.
• Paste a Discord Invite link. In Discord, choose Invite People and set the link to never expire.
• Press Add a location for up to 5 places in SL, each with a Name and its SLurl. In Second Life, open the World Map, choose the place and press Copy SLurl. Your locations are also shown together on SL's map under the list, where visitors can pan and zoom and click a pin for Teleport.

In Links, press Add a link for up to 6 more places to find you, like your website, Flickr or Marketplace store. A location or link shows once it has both its name and its address.

Teams that are hiring are listed under Hiring, each linking to its application form. See Set up a team and its ranks.

Forms you list are under Forms while they're open. To list one, open it on the Forms page and turn on List on the public page in its Settings. Forms only certain roles or teams complete aren't listed, and team applications show under Hiring instead.

Every public page has a link for people to appeal a ban from your community, and one to report the community to Civitas, even when the page is turned off. People who can manage your community also see Manage this community there.
