Read the audit log

Every change in your community goes in its audit log: roles given, people invited or banned, settings changed, and the changes Civitas's bots make for you.

Look at a change

1. Go to Audit log. The newest changes come first.
2. Click a row to open its details, and click it again to close them.
3. Press Older events at the bottom for earlier changes.

Each row shows When (in SLT), Who, the Action, like members.role_assigned or chat.muted, and its Target.

The details add:

• Carried out by: the person, bot or part of Civitas that made the change. Changes Civitas staff make to your community show as Civitas staff.
• Requested by: who asked for it, when that's someone other than who carried it out.
• Reason, when one was given.
• Changes: the values before and after.

People are named if you can also see the member list (members.view). Otherwise the log shows the start of their avatar's UUID.

Find changes

Type in the boxes above the list, and it shows what matches as you type:

• Action, like roles.created or communities.address_changed.
• Target type, like role.
• Target ID, like an avatar's UUID. The name of the avatar shows under the box.

Each box matches the whole value, not part of it, and the boxes combine.

Keep a copy

Press Export CSV to download everything that matches your filters as a spreadsheet file, not only what's loaded on the page. It needs permission to export the audit log (audit.export) as well as to see it.
