Change your picture
Choose the picture shown beside your name everywhere on Civitas, from Second Life, Discord or one you upload.
Your picture shows beside your name everywhere on Civitas, and at the top right of every page. Until you choose one, Civitas shows your main avatar's Second Life profile picture, or your initials if it has none.
Choose a picture
- Go to Account settings. You can also press your picture at the top right and choose Account settings.
- In Picture, open Picture to show and pick one:
- Second Life profile picture, your main avatar's profile picture in SL.
- Discord picture, once you've linked your Discord account.
- Uploaded picture, once you've uploaded one.
- Initials, the first letters of your name.
The change saves as soon as you pick. The list only offers pictures that exist: if your SL profile has no picture, or you haven't linked Discord, those aren't in it.
If you choose your Second Life profile picture and later change it in SL, Civitas picks up the new one by itself.
Upload a picture
- In Picture, press Upload a picture.
- Choose a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP file of up to 2 MB.
Civitas crops the middle of it to a square and makes it your picture straight away. It keeps a small copy it writes afresh, so nothing else the file carried, like where a photo was taken, is kept. To replace it, press Upload a different picture.
