Link your Discord account
Link Discord to sign in with it, get notifications there, and get your community roles on your communities' Discord servers.
Linking your Discord account to Civitas does three things:
- Sign in with Discord on the sign-in page signs you in.
- Notifications can reach you as direct messages from Civitas's app.
- On the Discord servers of your communities, Civitas gives you the Discord roles that go with your roles in the community.
Civitas only sees your Discord name and picture.
Link it
- Go to Account settings.
- In Discord, press Link Discord.
- Discord asks whether to let Civitas see your account. Approve it.
You come back to Account settings, and Discord shows your Discord name and when you linked it. You can now also choose your Discord picture as your picture.
A Discord account can be linked to only one Civitas account. If it's already linked to another, unlink it there first.
To switch to a different Discord account, unlink this one, then link the other.
Unlink it
- In Discord, press Unlink.
- Confirm with Unlink.
Discord can no longer sign you in, and your community roles no longer reach it. You can link it again later.
